Welcome to
Carlingford
and omeath
parish
“Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” (Lk 18:16)
Carlingford and Omeath Parish is a parish in the Archdiocese of Armagh. It is located in the Cooley Peninsula area, Co Louth, Rep. of Ireland.
As the name suggests, the parish is composed of two communities in the towns of Carlingford and Omeath, who work together as one family to promote the kingdom of God, in the joy of the Gospel.
As a community of disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, we work to build a place where people feel welcome and are encouraged to practice their faith as Catholics.
Our two churches are:
St Michael’s Church, Chapel Hill Carlingford (built in 1870-1875)
St Laurence’s Church, Chapel Hill Omeath (built in 1987, replacing the old church built in 1836-1866)
You are very welcome to come and join us at our Masses and other liturgical celebrations.
Wishing you grace and peace!
